My Story

I’ve always been curious about people, what shapes their choices, and how experiences influence who they become. That curiosity connects many parts of my life, from working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and babysitter, to my involvement in choir, public speaking, and research.

Losing my brother was the hardest experience of my life, but it taught me empathy, resilience, and purpose. His passing inspired my published research study on how peer and parental influences affect adolescent substance use. Writing it helped me turn loss into understanding and gave me the motivation to help others through awareness, education, and compassion.

My work as a CNA has shown me the power of care and connection. Speaking for Song for Charlie about fentanyl awareness has allowed me to use my voice to make a difference. Being a leader in choir has taught me teamwork, expression, and how music can bring people together.

Outside of school and work, I love crocheting, listening to music, and spending time at the beach. Each of these things keeps me grounded and reminds me of what matters most. After high school, I hope to pursue a career in medicine, public policy, or research where I can combine compassion and curiosity to help people and create positive change in their lives.
